“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.”  -F. Scott Fitzgerald

Good literature unites. It draws us more deeply into the human experience and makes us realize that what we thought to be a unique aspect of our character is really a common trait shared by many. A good writer can bring to light those desires and fears which the reader was not even aware of possessing. The most satisfying feeling in the world is discovering that someone else has immortalized, in writing, the exact emotion you’ve been attempting for years to authentically convey.
